Yes, that is possible. Anything is possible with PC Uitvaart. With us, you are free to choose where your funeral will take place. Our experienced funeral directors will assist you with creating the farewell that you’ve got in mind.

We will definitely do our best to accommodate you. Our funeral directors find it an honour if they are requested (again by the same family) and do everything they can to make your wishes possible.

We see that the tradition of coffee and cake is gradually disappearing. Many people now opt for sandwiches with milk and orange juice or a drink with appetizers. Almost anything is possible at our funeral locations! We offer a wide range of catering with tapas, cheese platters, pastries and sandwiches, but also snacks such as sausage rolls and bitterballen. Let yourself be inspired.

Wherever you like. You or your loved ones can choose the location where your funeral will take place. This can be at one of our funeral locations or elsewhere.
If you have a preference for a location, you can record it now by passing on your funeral wishes to us.

If you have opted for a PC UitvaartCompact service package, we will determine the location.

No, the amount in your Prepaid Funeral Trust is intended for your funeral and cannot be withdrawn before you decease. Upon your death, the amount saved will be released so that your next of kin can pay for your funeral.

No, you do not need to deposit additional amounts into your Prepaid Funeral Trust. You save as you like. This can be by means of a single deposit or regular deposits. You are completely in control of this. You will receive an attractive annual interest rate on the amount saved.

There are three ways to save as you prefer.

• • Prepaid Funeral Trust Basic = start with a small amount, from €100
• • Prepaid Funeral Trust GOAL = easy saving to your goal, from €2,500
• • Prepaid Funeral Trust HIGH = quickly reach your goal, from €6,000

You can easily open a Prepaid Funeral Trust via our website.

You can save as you like in your Prepaid Funeral Trust. You can opt for direct debit or make transfers manually when it suits you. In addition, you will receive an attractive annual interest rate on the amount saved.

The Dutch government determines the rules governing the amount of savings remaining on the AfscheidSparen (Deposit) account, once all the costs of the funeral have been paid. That is the remainder. Unfortunately, we have no influence on that. This means that:

• • if the remainder is less than 15% of the accumulated savings amount, this amount will be returned to the account of the beneficiary;
• • if the remainder is greater than 15% of the accumulated savings amount, this entire amount will be transferred to a new or an existing Prepaid Funeral Trust.

If the funeral is performed by a colleague funeral director or if you use a PC Funeral package, €100 administration costs will be charged.

If you choose to save for two people, you will receive an ‘and/or’ account. The balance or part of the saved balance is used to pay the costs for the funeral of the person who dies first. The amount remaining in the account after that is for the funeral of the longest living. This amount may increase if you deposit money into the account again. You can save up to €10,000. I f you have an ‘and/or’ account, you may save up to €20,000.
It is not possible to appoint another beneficiary (the person for whom the funeral is paid) for a Prepaid Funeral trust.

With Prepaid Funeral Trust, you always have the most favourable conditions based on your account balance. That is what we call ‘automatically better conditions’.
Whatever option you choose, the amount you save can only be used to pay for the funeral of the beneficiary.

You will receive an additional 5% on the amount saved if we can take care of the funeral. This does not apply for PC UitvaartCompact service packages.

The law does not require the next of kin to bury or cremate a deceased person in a coffin. Nevertheless, use of a coffin is preferred, especially for cremation. Without something to lay a body on or in, the body cannot be pushed into the oven. After a few days, the stiffness of the corpse, also known as rigor mortis, has disappeared. A limp body is difficult or impossible to slide into a cremation oven. An alternative to a coffin is a laying out board & shroud.

You can provide the desired music digitally.

At most PC Uitvaart locations, we offer you the opportunity to deliver digital music and/or to make a choice from our digital music collection. You will receive the necessary login details from your funeral director/consultant.

The average time from passing away to funeral is between 4 and 7 days. When a person dies, the funeral must take place no later than the sixth working day after death. According to the Corpse Handling Act (Wlb), it is compulsory in the Netherlands to bury or cremate a deceased person within six working days, but no earlier than 36 hours after death.

Yes, we do that. These days, we visit many care facilities and nursing homes in the north-western Netherlands to hold information mornings for residents and staff. They can ask questions without obligation. Contact us if you would like to know whether the care facility is affiliated with us.

During the Corona pandemic, most visits are cancelled. Please contact us for more information.

A is the death certificate. This is necessary for the declaration of death to the municipality.
B is the cause of death statement. This is completed by the Central Bureau of Statistics.

Approximately 2 to 6 weeks after the funeral, you will receive the statement for the funeral.
